My 4mth old pouts and starts screaming whenever me or my partner sneeze. It's like it really freaks him out. Do all babies do this? My partner thinks that maybe the last time he was here was during the black plague, and sneezing meant you were going to die, so that's why he stresses about it so much...the blakc plague?
My son freaks out if its a loud sneeze he gets startled.lol thats funny!! the black plague, at least he's got a sense of humour about it i guess. My son thinks its funny when i sneeze and laughs at me but it has to be 2 or more sneezes (same goes if he's sneezing too) if its one he'll just continue with what he's doing, if its 2 or more he'll give me this big smile and giggle.
Maybe smile at him when you sneeze (well just after you sneeze) so he understands that its alright but mostly it probably just startles him a bit.It may be a startle reflex, which is normal. See the link given below.LOL, actually, my daughter is the opposite - she laughs like a hyena when anyone sneezes, including herself. All babies are different! Just reassure him that you're fine, and that the loud noise wasn't meant to startle him. Good luck!My daughter startles if I sneeze! I think it's kinda funny!it could be because its loud to them they get scared. My baby sort of does that, but she's only 9 days old. She gets startled whenever we sneeze or cough or if the dog barks. Oddly enough, her daddy was putting together a book shelf last night, hammering away, and she didn't even twitch. ;o)Just startles them a bit, no worries. Yes babies are easily frightened by sneezes. Especially at 4months, your baby is just learning about facial expressions, facial recognitions and things of that nature. So a sneeze is not just a facial expression they can't recognize yet but the sound is something they are not used to either. It's just like going up to a baby smiling then suddenly screaming for 2 seconds then going back to smiling.
That'll confuse the heck out of them and frustrate them to the point of crying. The only thing you can really do is cover up to quiet the sneeze and he/she should get used to it by 6-mos.No he loves it when someone sneezes or hiccups. Now if someone snorts really loudly he freaks right out. Even though he knows its coming, still screams.its prob just the noise. my bub giggled when any of us sneezed.
he will out grow it dont worry xx at least ur husband has some humour xxEmmmm....
Its probably more to do with giving baby a shock, or a fright. She doesn't "freak out" but she wakes up if she's sleeping (same with coughs) and if she's awake they startle her.LOL. That is a funny theory. My little one will cry when I sneeze or cough. I guess it just scares him cause it's loud but it gets very annoying when I am having sneezing attacks for the day. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |

Can anyone tell me the name of the painting/poster Chuck Bass has hanging on his bedroom wall over his bed?
Can you help me solve this physics problem?
