  • You mean the 2 million poor auto workers and their families that will lose their jobs if they go under? Adding to the already 2 million people that have lost their jobs so far this year?

    Does it suck that they ran their companies so far into the ground that they now have to ask for this handout? Yes, does that make them the scum of the earth? Most likely, is it better for the economy to let them fail? No, as much as it sucks, letting them fail will only worsen a serious problem.

  • I think Congress is playing to the camera. I won't be a bit surprised if the Big 3 get everything they are asking for, possibly more. Congress wants the American people to think that they are looking out for the tax payers' best interests, but in reality, they plan on helping the automakers, because that helps the UAW, which helps politicians.

    When was the last time Congress did something that was a positive action for us lowly tax payers?



  • The "Big 3" American auto execs are all prime examples of the dangers in allowing brown-nosers to get away with dirty office politics, fire deserving employees---and replace them with THESE azz-clowns.

    They have NO shame---and they need to start showing the humility LOUD and proud. I personally hope Congress DENIES them a single red cent; I don't see where such a loan will help save millions of worker jobs.

    IF they were to get this "loan", they'd have to agree to the following for 20 years:

    No large exorbitant scale CEO salaries. Sell off your luxurious property and other investment assets--live like the common man.

    The $500,000 fun-play spa weekend? Gone--never to return!!

    Also gone: Those private Learjets and 747s. All American execs fly COACH on active airlines. Hotel stays are at common successful chain ones.

    This loan is to EITHER save lost worker jobs---or help find laid off workers find equal salary work; ALL their living and insurance expenses are fully covered by this bailout.

    This loan is NOT to cover the CEO cushy frivolous expenses--if any found doing so: they're jailed, facing Federal charges.

    Find jobs for the laid off, fully take care of them in the process, scale down the American auto industry to it's SENSIBLE size of existence--and fully pay back WITH INTEREST this loan.....or we come after you and you can pay us back with going to Hell.

  • Obviously the loan needs to be made to the Big 3 to save all the jobs that would be lost otherwise. Your post is immature and poorly written, you must be very proud of your education?


  • the big 3 should have taken corrective actions years ago. especially ford when they made cars like the Excursion. and GM and their Hummer brand. There is no place in our society for such cars I am aware that the Excursion has been retired. It should have never been introduced in the first place!
