Making a poster to display for my friend!IGNEOUS - Some igneous rocks float (pumice) because of a large number of trapped air bubbles.
&
Some may have a coarse texture, some have a fine texture. This is a factor of the amount of time of cooling. The youngest rocks on earth are igneous, having formed upon solidification of molten material.
SEDIMENTARY - Composition of these rocks greatly depend on the types of rocks from which the rock fragments are derived.
&
They are composed of fragments of pre-existing rocks that have been concentrated, compacted and cemented without necessarily undergoing chemical change.
METAMORPHIC - Metamorphic rock is a result of an existing rock undergoing extreme heat or pressure. Metamorphic rocks often retain some characteristics of the parent rock from which it came from. The usual depth for metamorphism is above igneous depths (50-250) and below sedimentary depths (2km).Metamorphic means change, and metamorphic rock changes over a period of time.
&
Metamorphic rocks are used for many things. Marble is used to make counter tops. Slate is used to make roofs. Some houses are made of metamorphic rocks.
Metamorphic rocks have been around since the beginning of time. They come in many shapes and sizes. They will probably be here forever.
ALL - They are all part of the rock cycle.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |

Can anyone tell me the name of the painting/poster Chuck Bass has hanging on his bedroom wall over his bed?
Can you help me solve this physics problem?
